About the role
The Bureau of Water Supply seeks to hire a Construction Project Engineer Intern to support the overall portfolio of projects designed via Infrastructure Planning, Design & Construction (IPD&C) managed on-call design contracts.
Responsibilities
- Review consultant designs and ensure that construction adheres to specs and plans.
- Participate in field surveys and inspections.
- Notify Supervisor(s) of any adverse conditions.
- Maintain contract files and written records of job history and progress.
- Coordinate resolution of contractor inquiries.
- Analyze and present data, as compared to contract specification, schedule and budget constraints.
- Display understanding of technical content and scope.
- Interface with others in a professional manner.

Qualifications
- A baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college.
Skills
- MS office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Familiarity with AutoCAD
- Reason logically, focus on objectives, and follow supervisor directives

Pay
- Salary range: $45,000 - $50,000 annually
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
