Construction Project Engineer Intern

About the role

The Bureau of Water Supply seeks to hire a Construction Project Engineer Intern to support the overall portfolio of projects designed via Infrastructure Planning, Design & Construction (IPD&C) managed on-call design contracts.

Responsibilities

• Review consultant designs and ensure that construction adheres to specs and plans.
• Participate in field surveys and inspections.
• Notify Supervisor(s) of any adverse conditions.
• Maintain contract files and written records of job history and progress.
• Coordinate resolution of contractor inquiries.
• Analyze and present data, as compared to contract specification, schedule and budget constraints.
• Display understanding of technical content and scope.
• Interface with others in a professional manner.

Qualifications

• A baccalaureate degree in civil engineering from an accredited college.

Skills

• MS office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with AutoCAD
• Reason logically, focus on objectives, and follow supervisor directives

Pay

• Salary range: $45,000 - $50,000 annually

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
