About the role
Your Job DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is seeking a Construction Performance Engineer to drive data-informed decision making across utility-scale solar construction projects. This role plays a critical part in improving project outcomes by delivering actionable insights into productivity, cost, and schedule performance-enabling field teams to proactively address risks and optimize execution across the jobsite.
Responsibilities
- Analyze construction performance data to identify productivity trends, risks, and opportunities across utility-scale solar projects.
- Develop and deliver actionable reporting and dashboards that provide real-time visibility into installation progress, productivity, labor performance, and project execution.
- Track labor productivity, installation rates, labor costs, and workforce utilization across subcontracted and self-perform scopes to support informed decision-making.
- Ensure accurate labor charging, timekeeping, progress tracking, and project data integrity to strengthen cost and performance visibility.
- Build forecasts and predictive analytics that identify emerging schedule, productivity, staffing, and cost risks, enabling proactive mitigation.
- Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to evaluate cost and schedule performance and support project controls activities.
- Conduct time studies, workflow assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives to identify inefficiencies and drive productivity gains.
- Partner with project management, construction, field engineering, and project controls teams to improve forecasting accuracy, reporting quality, and operational transparency.
- Train and coach field personnel on productivity measurement, reporting tools, and performance management best practices.
- Standardize performance reporting processes and best practices to drive consistency, scalability, and continuous improvement across projects.
Requirements
- Experience in construction, project controls, estimating, scheduling, or project management within industrial, infrastructure, or energy projects.
- Experience performing data analysis using Microsoft Excel or similar tools (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, or data summarization techniques).
- Experience interpreting construction or project data (e.g., productivity, labor hours, installation rates, or quantities) to support decision making.
- Valid U.S. driver's license.
Qualifications
- Background in utility-scale construction or renewable energy projects, including field-based roles (e.g., Field Engineer, Superintendent, Project Engineer).
- Experience applying Earned Value Management (EVM) and developing forecasting models or predictive analytics to identify schedule, productivity, and cost risks.
- Experience using construction or project controls software (e.g., Procore, P6, Power BI, SmartSheet, InEight).
- Experience leveraging data to drive process improvements, performance optimization, and better project outcomes.

Pay
The actual amount may be higher or lower than the range provided considering each candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and geographic location.
Schedule
This is a full-time, site-based position that includes daily per diem and monthly home rotations.
