Construction On-Site Representative
About the role
CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Construction On-Site Representative to join their PMCM Team in Albany, NY. This role serves as the owner's dedicated field liaison, overseeing daily site activities, fostering collaboration across stakeholders, and ensuring construction progress aligns with project plans, schedules, and contractual expectations.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the client’s primary on-site representative, providing day-to-day field oversight and coordination of construction activities
- Manage and coordinate daily work of general contractors and owner-retained contractors to maintain progress and schedule alignment
- Maintain and monitor construction quality, safety, and compliance with plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Maintain continuous communication with owners, project managers, contractors, and design teams to resolve issues and anticipate risks
- Organize and maintain job sites, field offices, schedules, and comprehensive project documentation
- Prepare clear, detailed daily reports capturing progress, site conditions, staffing, inspections, and photo documentation
- Support punch list execution, corrective work oversight, and project closeout activities
Requirements
- High School Diploma required; Associate’s Degree preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of construction site management experience required
- OSHA 10-hour certification required; OSHA 30-hour certification preferred
- Advanced knowledge of public and private construction procurement and processes, construction industry laws, regulations, and best practices
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel with detailed reported experience required
- Prominent ability to work independently in a fast-paced field environment
- Proven ability to communicate, problem-solve, and build relationships across diverse stakeholders including owners, architects, and general contractors
- Ability to travel locally as needed
Qualifications
