Construction Office Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Construction Office Engineer for major roadway projects (NICET Level III or IV) located in Nassau County, NY. LiRo-Hill provides construction management, engineering, environmental, architectural, and program management solutions, serving clients in both the public and private sectors. As part of Global Infrastructure Solutions Inc. (GISI), we combine the expertise of The LiRo Group and Hill International to deliver integrated construction, design, and technology solutions.

LiRo-Hill is a 1,100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston, Needham, MA, and Edison, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Document control
• Contractor payment processing
• Change order processing
• Maintain detailed project files/logs
• Review daily inspector reports

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of highway and/or bridge office engineer experience
• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred)
• Recent Nassau County Department of Public Works (NCDPW) project experience (preferred)
• NICET certification (Level III or IV) is a plus
• NYSDOT experience will be considered
• Extensive experience with MS Office Suite applications, particularly Word and Excel
• Appia Construction Management Software experience (a plus)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experienced with online project management software
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Able to collaborate/coordinate with clients, designers, contractors, and field staff
• Public agency experience (a plus)
• Authorized to work in the United States and maintains a current Driver’s License

Pay

Salary range: $84,000 – $104,000 per year. Exact compensation will be determined based on the individual candidate's qualifications and location. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
