Construction Materials Testing Field Technician - Orlando

Job Summary

Ardaman & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Construction Materials Testing Field Technician in its Orlando, FL office. The position involves soils and concrete field testing at various construction sites throughout Central Florida. Occasional night and weekend work is required. Training and support for certification renewal and additional certifications are provided. Career advancement opportunities, including specialty testing and inspector positions, are available.

Responsibilities

• Perform soils and concrete field testing
• Walk up and down slopes and on uneven terrain
• Work outdoors in the heat for up to 10-12 hours per day
• Lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Perform simple mathematical calculations
• Work weekends and extended hours as needed
• Travel and work at remote sites as needed
• Drive a company vehicle

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• Experience in soils and/or concrete field testing
• The ability to walk up and down slopes and on uneven terrain
• The ability to work outdoors in the heat for up to 10-12 hours per day
• The ability to lift and carry equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• The ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
• The ability to work weekends and extended hours as needed
• The ability to travel and work at remote sites as needed
• Excellent driving record within company standards
• Pass background screening requirements including criminal history, motor vehicle check, drug testing, etc.
• Local candidates only; no relocation
