Construction Materials Technician Intern

About the role

Kleinfelder, a Forbes' Top Employer for Engineers in North America, is seeking a Construction Materials Technician Intern for its Salt Lake City, UT office. This role is ideal for students majoring in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Construction Management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing routine inspection and testing of construction materials in the field to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications.
• Perform routine materials laboratory tests for the purpose of verifying suitability and conformance to industry and construction specifications.
• Prepare daily reports and data sheets.
• May be called upon to perform various tasks at the discretion of the supervisor.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation required.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student majoring in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Construction Management.
• Preferred: Computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office (Word and Excel).
