About the role

Kleinfelder, a Forbes' Top Employer for Engineers in North America, is seeking an experienced Construction Materials Testing Technician I to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. Our Construction Services market helps develop and maintain America's infrastructure and supply chain, and we are a recognized industry leader with more than 25 accredited laboratories.

Responsibilities

  • Following proper procedures
  • Completing work in a timely manner
  • Prepare daily field observation reports and materials testing data sheets
  • Performing accurate computations
  • Maintaining cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, contractors, etc.
  • Help in laboratory testing of materials
  • Training technicians and helping grow the Houston Office
  • Leading other junior technicians on long-term projects

Requirements

  • No construction materials testing or inspection experience required
  • Ability to obtain ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade 1 within 6 months of employment
  • Ability to obtain Radiation Safety training certification for the operation of a nuclear density gauge within 6 months of employment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record
  • Able to use a company provided laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • A good work ethic and high level of personal integrity
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Qualifications
