About the role
Kleinfelder, a Forbes' Top Employer for Engineers in North America, is seeking an experienced Construction Materials Testing Technician I to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. Our Construction Services market helps develop and maintain America's infrastructure and supply chain, and we are a recognized industry leader with more than 25 accredited laboratories.
Responsibilities
- Following proper procedures
- Completing work in a timely manner
- Prepare daily field observation reports and materials testing data sheets
- Performing accurate computations
- Maintaining cordial relationships with coworkers, clients, contractors, etc.
- Help in laboratory testing of materials
- Training technicians and helping grow the Houston Office
- Leading other junior technicians on long-term projects
Requirements
- No construction materials testing or inspection experience required
- Ability to obtain ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician - Grade 1 within 6 months of employment
- Ability to obtain Radiation Safety training certification for the operation of a nuclear density gauge within 6 months of employment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- Able to use a company provided laptop or tablet computer and a working knowledge of MS Office programs (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- A good work ethic and high level of personal integrity
- Authorization to work in the United States
Qualifications
