Construction Materials Services Manager

About The Role
As a Construction Materials Services Manager, you will lead the Construction Materials and Special Inspection team, impacting community growth and team development. You will deliver exceptional engineering services, oversee construction materials testing, and manage special inspection projects through strategic leadership, precise execution, and a focus on client satisfaction.
- Supervise and mentor Field and Laboratory Services Managers, Professionals, and Administrative staff.
- Drive department excellence by overseeing revenue growth, staff chargeability, and project profitability metrics.
- Manage high-impact projects, including preparing and overseeing proposals and large-scale client projects.
- Ensure financial efficiency by handling monthly billing, accounts receivable, and project deliverables.
- Expand business opportunities through collaboration on business development and nurturing client relationships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Geotechnical Engineering or a Construction-related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Operational and/or Project Management for construction materials testing and special inspection projects.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license (a plus).
- Proficiency in using company technology for proposals, reports, payroll, billing, and data management.
- Sound decision-making and critical thinking skills.
You must be willing and able to perform the physical demands of the position, including:
- Working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Walking over rough, uneven terrain and standing for long periods.
- Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50 lbs (field/laboratory samples and equipment).
- Working outside of normal business hours when necessary.
