Construction Materials Senior Project Professional

Responsibilities

• Supports the management of construction materials testing projects, including daily report review, collaborating with project teams, providing resolutions of technical and administrative issues as they arise, and training field staff on your projects.
• Manages and oversees project budgets, prepares invoices, pays applications, and assists with collection efforts.
• Oversees the preparation and review of proposals and change orders for your projects; hosts or attends project meetings with clients and follows up on reports as needed.
• Performs soil classifications and assigns laboratory testing.
• Actively mentors junior project managers and supports overall development of your team, including collaborating with other managers and internal recruiters to make staffing decisions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Earth Sciences, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.
• 10 years of relevant experience conducting construction materials testing in the field or a lab, or 6-8 years of relevant experience with a degree.
• Valid driver's license and insurance if driving on behalf of ECS.
• Interest in project management, consulting, and business development.
• Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Sound understanding of heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
• Functional knowledge of CMT principles and applications, as well as ASTM laboratory standards.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.
