About the role
The Construction Materials Engineering Technician I position involves performing field and/or laboratory testing, observation, and inspection of construction materials. The role also includes communicating with various stakeholders about the construction site, project requirements, and testing, observation, and inspection requirements and results.
Responsibilities
- Transport material samples to the laboratory for further testing and analysis.
- Tabulate, prepare, and submit data and observation in the form of written and digital reports.
- Communicate information to the Project Manager and discuss accuracy of data in preparation for submittal.
- Submit documentation and communicate results as directed by the Project Manager.
- Assist with scheduling and dispatch of Technicians to project sites.
- Maintain and clean equipment, vehicles, and work areas.
- Drive a vehicle such as a Ford F-150 or equivalent.
- Follow safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects.
- Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Maintain quality standards on all projects.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months experience required
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history
Qualifications
- Obtain Nuclear Density Gauge certification within 6 months of hire.
- Obtain ACI certification within 90 days of hire.
- Successful completion of related internal safety certifications.
