Construction Manager- Water

We're looking for a Construction Manager based in the Portland Area to work on utility construction projects including water/wastewater, treatment facilities, and pipeline.

Relevant experience includes structural concrete, vaults, conveyance/pipeline, pump/lift stations, tanks, basins, integration & controls, and mechanical install. Preferred experience with mechanical elements of water infrastructure, such as pumps, motors, valves, piping, clarifier, filtration and sedimentation equipment, and Building Mechanical systems.

You will work with clients and contractors, applying knowledge of construction practices including change management, safety, quality assurance, scheduling, estimating, price negotiations, and oversight of day-to-day activities. By developing and delivering on project scopes, budgets, reports, contracts, and schedules, you’ll help achieve our client’s objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle projects—from preconstruction and procurement through close-out—while managing budgets, schedules, and field teams.
• Work with clients and contractors on construction practices, including change management, safety, quality assurance, scheduling, estimating, and price negotiations.
• Develop and deliver project scopes, budgets, reports, contracts, and schedules.
• Oversee day-to-day construction activities on water/wastewater projects.
• Utilize project management tools such as Primavera P6 and Procore.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field OR equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of proven experience in Construction Management working on clean water/wastewater projects or related projects.
• Knowledge of construction materials, methods, plans, specifications, and associated safety requirements.
• Satisfactory driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Primavera P6, Procore, and other project management tools.
• Experience with mechanical elements of water infrastructure, including pumps, motors, valves, piping, clarifier, filtration, and sedimentation equipment.

Essential Functions

• Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting (up to 20 lbs., with the longest distance carried of 50 feet).
• Hand manipulation required for simple grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine manipulation.
• Occasional need to reach and/or work above or below the shoulder.
• Must be alert to equipment in the field; occasional travel required.
• Work near or on construction job site equipment, including hazardous machinery, uneven ground, dust, gas, fumes, noise, and extremes in temperature or humidity.
• Potential work at heights.

Pay

The base salary range for this position is $119,800.00 to $164,800.00. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
