About the role

Lead end-to-end field execution across utility-scale solar projects by developing high-performing Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical teams. Drive consistent processes that deliver safe, high-quality projects on schedule and within budget while maintaining strong subcontractor alignment, regulatory compliance, and customer relationships.

DEPCOM's Project Delivery Organization executes full turnkey PV and BESS plants with collection substations and generation transmission lines. We utilize preferred partnerships with key vendors and subcontractors while coordinating with interconnection utilities across the nation. As a Koch Company, we implement Principle Based Management to continue driving innovation, hold our team to the highest standard, and streamline our overall processes to ensure project success for each of our clients. As a supervisor, this includes helping your employees self-actualize and be all that they can be.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-scope field execution across civil, mechanical, and electrical disciplines on complex utility-scale solar and energy storage projects, with clear ownership of outcomes.
  • Partner closely with onsite Safety, Quality, and Logistics teams, along with remote functional partners, to align field execution, resolve issues quickly, and ensure consistent delivery against project safety, quality, schedule, and cost expectations.
  • Build, develop, and retain high-performing Superintendent teams by setting clear expectations, coaching decision-making, and driving accountability for results.
  • Own project performance—safety, schedule, quality, cost, and environmental compliance—through disciplined planning, three-week look-ahead execution, and proactive risk management.
  • Conduct weekly site risk assessments, updating and maintaining the Risk & Opportunity (R&O) log in coordination with the Site and Project Management teams to proactively manage exposure.
  • Lead environmental compliance for the project, ensuring SWPPP, permits, erosion control, and regulatory requirements are planned, executed, and enforced in coordination with Environmental and Safety teams.
  • Drive subcontractor field performance by holding subs accountable to scope clarity and production expectations and upholding safety and environmental standards, while resolving field issues decisively.
  • Manage subcontractor cost and contract compliance by reviewing and challenging Change Order Requests (CORs) for contractual basis, pricing, and approving invoices against completed work, contract terms, and budget.
  • Anticipate and resolve constructability, logistics, and coordination challenges before impacting schedule, cost, or compliance.
  • Establish and maintain owner confidence through transparent communication, reliable execution, and consistent delivery against commitments.

Requirements

  • Construction management experience on large-scale industrial, infrastructure, or renewable energy projects with direct responsibility for field execution.
  • Experience leading superintendents and managing subcontractors across multiple scopes while maintaining safety, schedule, quality, and cost control.
  • Experience managing change order requests, risk and opportunity assessments, and invoice review/approval.
  • Proven ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and contract requirements, including short-interval and look-ahead planning.
  • Working knowledge of construction safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance in active jobsite environments.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites as required.

  • Proven delivery of large-scale projects (100MW+ preferred) in EPC or self-perform environments, with accountability for safety, schedule, and field execution.
