Responsibilities
- Manage the overall community (or communities) construction schedule to ensure the timely completion of houses in a quality manner
- Scheduling, quality control-phase punch, cost control, safety, regular customer communication, orientation, orientation list, one-month list, invoice approval, update plans, fill out and send in Neal schedule, frame walk with the customer, homeowner warranty, community/site cleanliness
- Manage trade partners while continually monitoring and evaluating for safety, scheduling, quality, and cost control
- Maintain a clean and orderly worksite that meets the Neal standards and is visually appealing
- Check homes thoroughly before all stages of construction
- Check thoroughly before pouring the slab, hanging sheetrock, and setting grade
- Coordinate invoices as required by the Accounting Department
- Provide above-average customer service during the construction process and regular customer communication
- Ensure a safe worksite and comply with all safety guidelines and other regulatory requirements
- Encourage and foster a team environment with effective communication and problem-solving when needed
- Continuing education through appropriate seminars, conferences, and classes
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Construction, Business, or other related fields is preferred
- A minimum of 4 years of experience with a production homebuilder
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
Physical Requirements
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain
- Finger dexterity may be required to operate a computer keyboard and calculator
- The ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift frequently
- Continuous walking, standing, and moving about
- Repetitive movement of hands, arms, and legs
- Constantly works in outdoor weather conditions
