Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and manage the oversight of quality-built homes from start through Certificate of Occupancy on a timely and economical basis.
- Direct and monitor the progress of multiple homes in various stages of construction concurrently.
- Schedule subcontractors and manage the quality of construction, productivity and compliance with building and safety codes.
- Manage trade and vendor relationships in order to build homes on schedule. Maintain safe, clean and compliant job sites.
- Cooky/delivery and use of materials throughout the construction process.
- Complete homes and all customer walk-through items prior to turnover.
- Track and control construction costs against the budget in order to avoid cost overruns.
- Implement knowledge of construction methods, regulations, contracts and blueprint reading.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Prior experience with residential home building in the Northwest Florida market is required.
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business, Supply Chain Management or related degrees preferred.
- Basic computer proficiency required to communicate and schedule with vendors and trades.
- Knowledge of construction practices and terminology as well as the ability to read and understand blueprints and construction documents are preferred.
- Foster strong working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds, both within and outside the organization.
- Cultivate and maintain positive customer relationships throughout the construction process.
- Inspire and encourage building partners to achieve high levels of performance and excellence.
- Identify and resolve challenges efficiently during the construction process.
- Exhibit urgency and persistence to ensure tasks are completed effectively and on time.
- Maintain composure, adaptability, and sound decision-making in high-pressure or fast-paced environments, including when faced with unexpected situations or delays.
- Uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in all actions.
- Consistently meet established goals and deadlines by leveraging strong attention to detail, exceptional time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
Physical And Work Environment Requirements
- Tasks may include standing, walking, bending, and carrying up to 50 lbs., with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- This position requires the ability to work outdoors for extended periods in a variety of weather conditions, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Must possess a valid state driver's license.
- Ability to navigate to multiple construction sites daily, including in rural or high-traffic areas.
- Required to travel between job sites and company facilities, occasionally on short notice, with travel distances varying according to business needs.
- Must pass a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and periodic rechecks.
- Comfortable operating vehicles in variable site conditions (unpaved roads, construction zones, etc.).
- Must follow all company vehicle use policies and applicable traffic laws.
