About the role

The Construction Installation Manager oversees a team of construction personnel responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing structures and major components. This role ensures adherence to contract specifications, established policies, and safety practices while managing day-to-day team performance. The position is key to meeting project milestones and goals within approved budgets, promoting the company’s mission, and maintaining high standards of customer satisfaction, quality, and cost control.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and verify accurate estimating.
  • Facilitate accurate, timely invoicing.
  • Prepare monthly revenue forecasts.
  • Prepare and update departmental construction schedules.
  • Manage and maintain departmental WIP (Work in Progress) Reports.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workplace/worksite, including conducting random safety audits, inspections, and hazard analysis.
  • Review department costs and overhead expenses to stay competitive in the market.
  • Focus on employee satisfaction, development, involvement, and empowerment.
  • Provide a safe work environment for all installation personnel.
  • Conduct annual reviews for each department member.
  • Ensure all equipment is clean, safe, operational, and presents the correct company image.
  • Maintain vehicle maintenance schedules.
  • Keep tools and equipment stored in a clean and organized manner.
  • Ensure job site signs are properly installed.
  • Maintain accurate daily records of all work performed.
  • Conduct site quality inspections, including post-completion inspections, and prepare resulting reports.
  • Attend pre-job conferences to verify parts, equipment, and scope of work.
  • Verify permitting for all project aspects and ensure CAD drawings are used on all jobs; participate in input for CAD drawings.
  • Attend and participate in weekly operations meetings.
  • Monitor progress of all jobs, including scheduling and oversight of sub-contractors.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong understanding of P&L and income statements.
  • Budget-building knowledge.
  • Proficiency in planning, organizing, and prioritizing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass a required background check and drug screen.
  • Willingness to travel outside the immediate regional work area if required.
  • Bachelor’s and/or technical degree OR a minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
  • 10 years of experience in the petroleum industry is a must.
  • Experience and knowledge of project management tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to meet company employment requirements, including passing a drug screen, criminal background check, and motor vehicle record (MVR) check if driving for the company.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, and standing for 8–10 hours per day.
