About the role
The Construction Manager is responsible for planning and executing all construction activities at one or more project sites. This position serves as the main interface between Construction and HSE, Quality, Engineering, Procurement, Project Management, Project Controls, as well as the Client’s key site personnel.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for the functional direction, coordination, and performance of all on-site construction operations and support departments including HSE, Quality, Material Management, Procurement, Construction Engineering, and Project Controls.
- Actively participate in developing a construction HSE culture that integrates safety and environmental awareness into daily operations.
- Lead the Project Team in creating the Construction Execution Plan, work breakdown structure, construction schedule, resource requirements, equipment rental schedules, and construction progress/forecasts.
- Maintain ownership of the Construction Execution Plan by continuously assessing project developments, updating the plan, and communicating construction requirements within the Project Team.
- Monitor and control cost, schedule, progress, and productivity, including analyzing deviations and taking corrective action to address negative trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of industrial construction experience with 3 years of direct construction supervision; EPC experience preferred.
