About the role

Constructiv is seeking skilled construction professionals to join our expanding team. We currently don't have immediate openings but are interested in connecting with talented individuals in the data center construction industry.

Responsibilities

  • Onsite Construction Management: Safety, mobilization, planning, construction, QA/QC, testing, closeout, and other related tasks
  • Travel: Up to 90%
  • Project Leadership: Providing project leadership, coordination, and facilitating teamwork of the project team to meet project goals
  • Communication: Professionally, accurately, effectively, efficiently, and concisely communicate in all facets of business
  • Staffing Projections: Develops staffing projections and trend/exposure reports
  • Contractor Oversight: Assures the performance of project personnel meets Client needs and expectations
  • Project Status Updates: Attends monthly managers' meetings and participates in project-status calls
  • Change Order Process: Leads and manages the contract change order process, claim process, cost, document, and quality control efforts
  • Documentation: Produces the minutes of all meetings and all other written documentation required
  • Review Contractor Documentation: Reviews contractor documentation including correspondence, insurance, bonds, submittal data, clarification requests, and close-out documentation
  • Quality Control: Monitors the construction process to ensure project completion within budget, schedule, and conformance with client standards
  • Project Administration: Oversees contractor and vendor performance during the construction phase through site visits and report reviews
  • Team Leadership: Provides project team leadership throughout construction project development
  • Scheduling and Budget Management: Manages project schedules, budgets, and scope within approved limits
  • Testing and Commissioning: Oversees contractor and vendor performance during the construction phase through site visits and report reviews
  • Facilitating Turnover: Coordinates constructability reviews, manages and coordinates testing, commissioning, and turnover of facilities to end users
  • Validation and Evaluations: Oversees validation of record documents and post-occupancy evaluations
  • Compliance: Accountable for adherence on projects to all Construction Management policies, processes, procedures, tools, and client compliance guidelines

Qualifications

  • Education: BS degree in engineering, construction management, or related field; or equivalent experience
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in managing construction of technical projects
  • Skills: Strong familiarity with construction and electrical codes and plan reading capabilities, strong budget and change management capabilities, knowledge of analytical and problem-solving skills, effective time management skills, ability to work in a team environment, desire to raise standards of excellence in construction

Pay

The annual salary for this role is $131,200.00 - $196,900.00 USD. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications and geographic location. This role is eligible for variable compensation including short term and long-term incentives.

Schedule

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be working in the typical conditions of a construction environment, including seasonal variations in temperatures and occasional exposure to weather elements. The employee must comply with PPE requirements, including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, clothing, and shields for required tasks, and closed-toed or safety shoes as required by facility safety policies. This role requires travel on a consistent basis, up to 80%. A valid driver's license is required.
