About the role

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Construction Management / Project Engineer to be based in San Bernardino, CA. This position offers professionals the chance to work on transformative programs that redefine industries and communities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees building design process to ensure compliance with client standards and guidelines for the District by working with design professionals and various District administrators.
  • Establishes and follows an effective and efficient design review process to ensure that the design meets the overall goals and objectives for each project.
  • Manages multiple projects, including engineering repair and critical repair, through interaction with Architects, consultants, and client personnel to ensure timely completion of these projects.
  • Provides Architects with clear and consistent direction with regard to goals and objectives, standards, site, schedule, and budget for each project.
  • Establishes and follows a process to identify and select the architectural firm best suited for each project based on firms qualifications and ability to meet performance standards.
  • Reviews design changes to ensure project remains within budget.
  • Maintains project planning and design status to report findings, recommendations, and updates.
  • Manages and coordinates design submissions from contractors and designers.
  • Coordinates different design disciplines.
  • Coordinates and manages across different sectors and interfaces.
  • Performs detailed technical reviews from concept through detailed design.
  • Manages and coordinates technical design reviews.
  • Coordinates and manages multi-disciplinary designs.
  • Prepares Scope of Works and Requests for Proposals.
  • Assesses tenders and proposals.
  • Monitors and reports on program and cost control.

Requirements

  • BA/BS + 4 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • DBIA Certified (California State Architectural Board) or Professional Engineer (State Board for Professional Engineers).
  • CCM certification.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications: BA/BS + 4 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Preferred Skills: DBIA Certified (California State Architectural Board) or Professional Engineer (State Board for Professional Engineers), CCM certification.

Benefits

Additional information Sponsorship is not offered now or in the future for this role. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year.
