Walbridge is looking for interns that are passionate about construction! Our internship program provides hands-on experience and mentoring designed to launch your career in construction and engineering.
About the role
Interns engage in meaningful work assignments either in the field or at our corporate and regional offices, gaining exposure to real-world challenges and professional development opportunities. Interns are assigned to one of the following areas for the entirety of the summer:
- Estimating
- Scheduling
- Field Operations
- Design Management
- Cost
- Technology
Location: Various project sites or corporate and regional offices across the U.S.

Responsibilities
- Contribute: Assist in coordination of on-site construction projects and engineering activities
- Collaborate: Work with experienced team members including Superintendents, Project Managers, Estimators, Schedulers, and others
- Support: Complete documentation in support of subcontractor planning and administration to ensure quality of construction in support of overall project schedules
- Interpret: Understand and interpret designs, drawings, specifications, submittals, and other construction documents
Requirements
To qualify, you must:
- Be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture
- Be passionate about construction, engineering, or related fields
- Have ability to travel
- Have strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Be eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute to a dynamic team environment
Qualifications
Ideally, you’ll also have:
- Previous internship, construction, or military experience
- Demonstrated leadership experience through projects, competitions, student organizations, or volunteer work
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced dynamic environments
