Construction Intern - Columbus Summer 2027

F.H. Paschen’s robust Internship Program offers students pursuing construction or other built-environment curricula the opportunity to gain hands-on knowledge, work experience, and a competitive edge before graduation. The Construction Intern role is a summer position designed to prepare students for a career in Construction Project Management by working directly with a project team. Assignments span pre-construction through project closeout.

Responsibilities

• Quantity takeoffs
• Maintain material logs
• Prepare project reports
• Handle correspondence
• Review and assess suitability of shop drawings and submittals
• Track status of change orders
• Track status of Requests for Information (RFIs)
• Collect, verify, and distribute as-builts
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Assist with close-out documentation

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in Engineering, Construction, Architecture, Business, or a related built-environment major
• Familiarity with construction-related technology such as Bluebeam, Revit, and Procore
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Experience with spreadsheet, word-processing, and scheduling software is preferred

Pay

$22 – $24 per hour
