F.H. Paschen’s robust Internship Program offers students pursuing construction or other built-environment curricula the opportunity to gain hands-on knowledge, work experience, and a competitive edge before graduation. The Construction Intern role is a summer position designed to prepare students for a career in Construction Project Management by working directly with a project team. Assignments span pre-construction through project closeout.
Responsibilities
- Quantity takeoffs
- Maintain material logs
- Prepare project reports
- Handle correspondence
- Review and assess suitability of shop drawings and submittals
- Track status of change orders
- Track status of Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Collect, verify, and distribute as-builts
- Read and interpret blueprints
- Assist with close-out documentation
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in Engineering, Construction, Architecture, Business, or a related built-environment major
- Familiarity with construction-related technology such as Bluebeam, Revit, and Procore
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience with spreadsheet, word-processing, and scheduling software is preferred
Pay
$22 – $24 per hour
