Construction Intern
for section headings. Use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Use
for prose.
We need to preserve all substantive information, no boilerplate like EEO, legal, etc. Remove duplicated lines. Also remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO etc. So we should omit the Equal Employment Opportunity paragraph and the "This job description is intended..." etc.
We need to include Pay section with the pay range. Also maybe include Location? The location is given: Irvine, California. Could be included in a short
maybe under About the role? The instruction: "Do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short
or drop it." So location and company could be minor metadata; we could include a short
at top:
Company: CSI Construction • Location: Irvine, California
. That seems okay.
Now sections:
- About the role (Position Summary) -> heading About the role
then with summary.
- Responsibilities: Could be
Responsibilities
then maybe break into subcategories? Could keep as a single list with items. But we have subheadings inside responsibilities (Field Operations, Project Management, Estimating & Preconstruction, Safety & Compliance, Professional Development). Should we treat those as subheadings? The instruction only says use for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It doesn't forbid other headings, but we should follow that. Probably we should keep Responsibilities as one section and list all duties as - . Could incorporate the subcategory details inside each li. That's okay.
- Requirements: Could be
Requirements
then list Required Qualifications and maybe also Preferred Qualifications? Usually Requirements is required qualifications. We'll put Required Qualifications there as list.
- Qualifications: Could be Qualifications
for Preferred Qualifications? But we already have Requirements. Might combine? The instruction says prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. Could combine Required and Preferred into one Qualifications section with subheadings? But we must use for section headings; we could have Required Qualifications
and Preferred Qualifications
as separate headings? Those are not in the list but could be considered section headings. The instruction says use for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It gives examples but not exclusive. Likely we can use those exact headings. So we should use Requirements for required qualifications, Qualifications for preferred qualifications. Or we could have Skills section for software etc. But better to follow examples: Requirements and Qualifications.
Thus:
- Requirements
with list of required qualifications.
- Qualifications
with list of preferred qualifications.
- Pay
with
$20.00–$25.00 per hour
.
- Internship Experience
maybe as section? The examples didn't list Internship Experience but we can include if substantive. The instruction: "include a section ONLY when the posting has real, specific content for it". Internship Experience section has content. So we can add Internship Experience
with - ... maybe combine into prose? Could be list.
-
Potential Career Path
similarly.
- Physical & Work Environment
maybe as section.
We also have "What We're Looking For" which is like desired traits; could be under Skills or Requirements? Could be a section What We're Looking For
but not in examples. Might be better to incorporate into Requirements or Qualifications? But it's more about personal attributes. Could be a section Skills
(the examples include Skills). So we can put those traits under Skills.
Thus sections:
- About the role (Position Summary)
- Responsibilities
- What We're Looking For (Skills)
- Requirements
- Qualifications (Preferred)
- Pay
- Physical & Work Environment
- Internship Experience
- Potential Career Path
We must not include Benefits or Schedule if not present.
Now we need to extract content.
