Construction Inspector (Observer)
RVE (an Ardurra company) is seeking a Construction Inspector (Observer) to join our team in the King of Prussia, PA office. About the role
The Inspector is a professional with 5-10 years of experience, requiring a strong background in dealing with construction site contractors and the ability to enforce local municipality specifications and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Read, write, and communicate fluently.
- Perform basic math skills, including geometry and trigonometry.
- Understand construction plans, specifications, schedules, and procedures.
- Document daily construction activities, including measurement and calculation of pay quantities.
- Perform quality control testing on highway and bridge materials.
- Use Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation and reporting.
- Perform field construction inspection and documentation services on municipal, county, PennDOT or PTC, and heavy highway and bridge projects.
- Work in all weather conditions.
- Perform moderately strenuous tasks, including walking along rough terrain, climbing ladders, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- May require overnight travel.
- Position is subject to seasonal layoff.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of construction observation or construction experience directly related to one of the following disciplines: water supply and distribution systems, sanitary sewer collection and water/wastewater treatment systems, or roadway construction.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook.
Pay
The annual base salary range for this full-time position in the United States is $55,000 - $82,500.
