RVE (an Ardurra company) is a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive construction oversight and technical expertise for infrastructure and capital improvement projects. Our team includes licensed Professional Engineers and NICET-certified Resident Engineers with specialized certifications in concrete inspection, corrosion protection, asphalt technologies, and traffic control. We serve transportation, water, wastewater, municipal, and land development markets with services such as resident engineering, construction inspection, contract administration, and program management.

About the role

The Construction Inspection Manager is a supervisory and construction management role responsible for overseeing all construction operations for the Secaucus Regional Office. This individual will manage and supervise a team of construction inspectors, collaborate with engineering project managers and administrative staff, and ensure successful inspection and contract administration of diverse projects, including municipal roads, underground utilities, park facilities, and private land development.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate transition from design to construction phase, including constructability reviews and project responsibility from preconstruction through close-out.
  • Plan construction phases, assign staff, coordinate with other departments, and manage resource planning and hiring.
  • Maintain quality control of all payment certifications.
  • Lead and promote daily communication across inspection teams and with design teams and clients.
  • Identify, scope, and administer field changes for unforeseen conditions, including change order cost and schedule negotiation.
  • Implement staff development protocols, including skills training and certifications.
  • Enforce company policies.

Requirements

  • Over 15 years of experience in Civil and Infrastructure construction projects.
  • Proven leadership in overseeing and managing both projects and a team of construction inspectors, including contract administration services.
  • Two-year technical or associate’s degree in construction technology or construction management (a plus).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with inspection software, Microsoft Office Suite, and related programs.

Qualifications

  • OSHA Certifications 10/30 (preferred).
  • NICET Certifications I (preferred), II or III (a plus).
  • ACI - Field Technician Certification (preferred).
  • New Jersey Society of Asphalt Technicians - Field Testing (preferred).
  • NJDOT - Traffic Control Coordinator (preferred).
  • Work Zone Safety (preferred).
  • Confined Space Training (preferred).

Pay

The salary range for this role is $94,000 - $122,200 annually.
