About the role

Keville Enterprises, Inc. (Keville), an established Construction Management and Inspections firm in Boston, MA, is seeking qualified construction inspectors to perform inspection services on public and private projects for airport, rail, highway, road, bridge, facilities, and water/wastewater projects.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect work performed by construction contractors to ensure conformance with contract plans and specifications
  • Contract administration
  • Reporting daily progress
  • Tracking and documenting quantities of work performed
  • Resolving construction problems and challenges in the field
  • Other oversight responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • Experience in inspecting, testing, or managing construction projects is a must
  • Proficiency in the use of computers including MS Word, Excel and construction reporting/quantity tracking software
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Eager to learn, willing to perform a variety of tasks, and a team player
  • A minimum of three years of experience in civil, highway, facility or a relevant engineering field, with one year in a field inspection capacity
  • Professional certifications such as NICET, NETTCP, ACI, NACE, AWS/CWI, ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor, EIT, CCM, CMIT, CACM are strongly preferred
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) or Associates Degree in a relevant field is preferred
  • Employees assigned to driving duties ("drivers") must have a current, valid US State driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with Keville's driving policy
  • OSHA 10 certification is a condition of employment

Qualifications

A minimum of three years of experience in civil, highway, facility or a relevant engineering field, with one year in a field inspection capacity. Any of the following Professional certifications are strongly preferred: NICET; NETTCP; ACI; NACE; AWS/CWI; ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor; EIT; CCM; CMIT; CACM. Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) or Associates Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
