Construction Inspector

Duties

• Inspect work performed by construction contractors to ensure conformance with contract plans and specifications.
• Manage contract administration, reporting daily progress, tracking and documenting quantities of work performed.
• Resolve construction problems and challenges in the field and other oversight responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience in inspecting, testing, or managing construction projects is a must.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Eager to learn, willing to perform a variety of tasks, and a team player.
• A minimum of two years of experience in civil, highway, or a relevant engineering field.
• NICET Level 2 certification required for this position.
• A Bachelor of Science Degree (BS) in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Other certifications including NACE Coatings Inspection; ATSSA Traffic Control Supervisor; NETTCP HMA Inspector, NETTCP Concrete Inspector, Soils and Concrete, ACI Technician and AWS/CWI are a plus.
• Full proficiency in the use of computers including MS Word, Excel, and construction reporting/quantity tracking software.
• Current, valid US State driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• OSHA 10 certification is a condition of employment.
