Construction Inspector
What You Will Do
GFT is seeking a Construction Inspector to join our Construction Services Team in St. Louis, MO! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our St. Louis, MO office.

This role involves inspecting and overseeing construction work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications. Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as a daily point of contact with clients and contractors.
- Maintaining all aspects of a project, including construction observations, material testing, and documentation.
- Preparing samples of materials for laboratory testing.
- Examining workmanship of finished installations for conformity to standards and approving installations.
- Recording quantities of materials received or used during specified periods, developing pay estimates, and managing change orders.
- Maintaining daily logs of construction and inspection activities and comparing progress reports.
- Maintaining construction safety practices and work methods for compliance.

What You Will Bring To Our Firm
- A high school diploma.
- 0-4 years of construction inspection experience.
- Experience in construction, inspection, material testing, or transportation engineering for highway projects, structures on state MODOT, municipal, and/or municipal projects.
- A safety-first mindset.
- Strong writing, listening, and communication skills.

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $20.00 - 29.00 per/hour. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
