Construction Inspector

This role is eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus, subject to the terms and conditions of the Company's sign-on bonus program.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, observe, and ensure construction projects—including road construction, mass grading and excavation, and bridges—are completed in accordance with contract plans and specifications.
• Interpret plans and specifications to contractors and clients.
• Prepare and maintain records of plans, inspections, letters, and reports used in connection with roadway and bridge inspection.
• Identify contract changes and assist in preparation of change orders.
• Travel to project sites as required.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of the practices used and the equipment required on construction projects, particularly in the areas of roadway grading, paving, and bridge operations.
• Strong ability to work independently and take initiative.
• A clean driving record.
• Idaho Transportation Department (ITD) IQP qualifications or willingness to take required exams to obtain them (preferred).
