About the role
Provide safety support at the project site, oversee Contractor activities, lead a team of Safety Techs, perform accident investigations, monitor contractors' safety programs, conduct HSE audits, lead safety inspections, develop and implement safety training, and adhere to the Linde Code of Ethics and Conduct.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Contractor activities and safety programs
- Perform accident investigations and corrective actions
- Lead sample safety inspections and identify improvement opportunities
- Develop and implement local safety training and campaigns
- Implement and lead a strong Safety Observation program
- Develop and lead internal HSE assessments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in chemical engineering or a related field
- At least ten years of progressively responsible experience in a position offering safety assessments and inspection, process safety, incident and accident investigation, root cause analysis, engineering design safety parameters, and processing hazard analysis
- Three years of experience in developing and implementing required safety training, evaluating occupational health exposure and risk, and initiating preventive actions
- Experience in conceptualizing and developing safety improvement programs, health, safety, and environment (HSE) training and development, and assessing HSE technical training requirements
Qualifications
- Willingness to work majority of the working time in the field performing HSE inspections, observations, and helping correct UA&UCs
Skills
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills
- Effective communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to develop and implement safety training programs
- Proficiency in conducting safety assessments and inspections
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and occupational health and safety standards
