Construction Foreman

Underground Infrastructure Technologies (UIT), LLC. is a full-service contractor specializing in trenchless technologies headquartered in Lakewood, Colorado. We provide wet and dry utility installations utilizing trenchless technologies for Departments of Transportation, Federal and State agencies, local municipalities, sewer and water districts, and private development organizations. Projects range from 20” to 120” in diameter. About the role

The Construction Foreman leads the jobsite and crew to ensure projects are completed safely, accurately, and on time.

Responsibilities

• Take instructions for daily tasks from the Superintendent.
• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, and forklifts.
• Operate auger boring equipment; experience with TBM, MTBM, and Pipe Ram is a plus.
• Lead Safety and Toolbox meetings with crew.
• Ensure all work plans and JHA’s are covered before tasks are started.
• Complete daily log of work performed.
• Inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to ensure specifications are met.
• Supervise crew members.
• Perform safety inspections of work area.
• Train personnel as needed.
• Out-of-State travel may be required up to 30%.
• The majority of work is in the Colorado Front Range area.
• Per diem starts after 75 miles from the Lakewood office.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in utility construction.
• Ability to take direction from supervision.
• Experience with construction survey.
• Welding experience preferred.
• OSHA training is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to recognize hazards and safety risks.
• Familiarity with equipment and tools required for the position.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to work in standing, sitting, or other physical positions.
• Preferred supervisory experience.

Pay

$30.00 to $42.00 per hour, depending on experience.
