Responsibilities
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policy, OSHA standards, and applicable government regulations.
- Conduct or coordinate daily safety briefings.
- Enforce the use of proper PPE at all times.
- Stop work immediately when unsafe conditions are identified. Address the condition before resuming.
- Manage the full scope of the installation from mobilization through final acceptance, including coordination with the GC, subcontractors, and third-party trades.
- Develop and maintain a daily work plan.
- Use visual management tools to track progress against schedule, identify gaps, and coordinate team assignments.
- Cook offsite access, sequencing, and logistics in alignment with the GC’s construction schedule.
- Report project status to the home office on a regular cadence, including schedule, budget, quality, and any risks requiring escalation.
- Conduct a formal acceptance review with the customer at project close.
- Ensure all required documentation is completed, signed, and submitted.
- Inspect installation work daily against quality standards and project specifications. Identify and document non-conformances, and drive corrective action before defects are built in.
- Report design or engineering issues to the home office for resolution.
- Complete and submit the Installation Services Performed form at project close.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years supervising construction or specialty installation crews.
- A high school diploma or GED required.
- A degree or certification in Construction Management or related field preferred.
- Proven construction and project management skills: scheduling, budget tracking, GC and trade coordination.
- Effective people management: delegation, coaching, crew development, and accountability.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the project team.
- A continuous improvement orientation with the ability to identify and drive practical solutions.
- Ability to read construction drawings, installation documentation, and technical work instructions.
- Hands-on with power and hand tools.
- Comfortable working at heights.
- Valid driver’s license and U.S. passport, or ability to obtain one.
- Ability to pass FBI and State background checks for work in public schools and government facilities.
- OSHA 10 accepted with willingness to obtain OSHA 30 within 6 months.
- Forklift, Scaffold Safety, and Aerial Lift certifications (all within past 5 years) preferred.
- Willingness to travel extensively, domestically and internationally.
- 80-100% travel.
- Experience in specialty, theatrical, themed entertainment, or technology installation preferred.
- Familiarity with Lean construction practices or construction management software preferred.
- Must be based within a reasonable distance of a major international airport.
Pay
The annualized base salary range for this position in Philadelphia is $80,000 to $110,000. The base salary offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
