About the role

As a Construction Field Sales representative, you’ll be a field-based employee supporting the Alaskan territory, including markets such as Anchorage, Fairbanks, Wasilla, Kenai, and Juneau. This role involves 50% travel within the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve top-line sales targets based on division and local market goals by selling DEWALT PTE, HTAS, STANLEY, LENOX, IRWIN, BOSTITCH, and PORTER CABLE brands to end-user customers.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain key relationships with end-user partners through product and service solutions, including management of CORE and other SBD user contracts and programs.
  • Teach and mentor your local market team on end-user development, including identifying key contacts (trade associations, safety personnel, engineers, quality managers, general managers, line supervisors, chief mechanics, purchasing, etc.) and aligning efforts with local teams, product managers, distributors, and service centers.
  • Partner with Channel Marketing to implement and coordinate marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain and use SalesForce.com as a CRM and planning tool, communicating successes and failures to refine processes and improve future outcomes with key accounts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Marketing, or related fields preferred. Relevant construction field experience may substitute for higher education.
  • 3+ years of experience in Sales or Marketing for Construction Supplies, with a proven track record of delivering results and experience selling to high-level executives, C-Suite, and jobsite directors.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to combine empathy with determination to achieve outstanding results.
  • Valid Driver’s License and physical ability to travel up to 50% within the territory.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

Pay

The total target cash compensation range for this position is $92,400.00 - $148,800.00. This range reflects the lowest to highest total target cash compensation at the time of posting and may vary based on job level, geographic location, experience, and compliance with local wage requirements. The role is eligible for a sales incentive plan or commission, with the range inclusive of base salary and target variable cash compensation. Additional merit increases may be available annually.
