Construction Field Foreman

About the role

The Field Foreman works hands-on in the field, supporting daily operations, coordinating subcontractor activities and logistics, monitoring work quality, and helping hold the schedule. You play a critical role in efficient execution, job site organization, and clear communication with the Superintendent team.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day field operations and help coordinate labor, materials, and equipment to hit production targets.
  • Lead trade foremen and onsite labor teams to keep work high-quality and efficient.
  • Monitor daily progress and communicate field updates, issues, and needs to the Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent.
  • Help enforce jobsite safety, including toolbox talks, safety walks, and site inspections.
  • Run frequent quality checks so work aligns with plans, specifications, and Roundhouse standards.
  • Spot field conflicts early and work with the Superintendent team to resolve them.
  • Keep the jobsite organized, clean, and flowing.
  • Support the creation and execution of daily and weekly work plans.
  • Track manpower counts, quantities installed, and daily logs, keeping field documentation accurate.
  • Monitor material deliveries, storage, and readiness so trades always have what they need.
  • Serve as the field-level liaison between subcontractor crews and site leadership, promoting accountability and escalating issues to the Superintendent as needed.
  • Take on other duties as needed, consistent with the scope of the role.

Requirements

  • You take initiative, own the details, and set the tone for a safe, productive site.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • At least 3 years in multifamily or similar construction.
  • General knowledge of construction sequencing, production flow, and field coordination.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to keep a job site safe, clean, and productive.
  • The ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Proven ability to lead field crews and collaborate with subcontractors.
  • The ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to work closely with and take direction from project Superintendents.
