Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of detailed cost estimates for both residential and commercial construction projects.
- Review and interpret architectural drawings, construction documents, and specifications to develop accurate project budgets.
- Prepare comprehensive scope sheets by trade using company templates to ensure complete coverage of project requirements.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis to support accurate project pricing.
- Solicit and review subcontractor bids and vendor pricing.
- Lead subcontractor negotiations and manage the subcontractor buyout process.
- Collaborate directly with ownership and project leadership during preconstruction to refine project budgets and procurement strategies.
- Attend project site meetings and client meetings when necessary to review scope, validate estimates, and support project planning.
- Maintain clear and organized documentation of estimates, pricing assumptions, subcontractor proposals, and scope coverage.
- Support the preconstruction process to ensure projects are properly scoped, competitively priced, and ready for execution.
- Commercial work includes retail construction and tenant buildouts, including large format retail environments.
- Residential projects include high-end renovations, additions, and ground-up residential construction throughout Greater Boston.

- Strong subcontractor negotiation and procurement skills.
- The ability to manage multiple project estimates simultaneously while maintaining accuracy and organization.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and internal leadership.
