Key Responsibilities
- Analyze blueprints and specifications to accurately estimate project costs
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and contractors to align on project vision
- Identify materials, finishes, and labor requirements for custom fabrication
- Prepare and submit detailed, competitive bids on various projects
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and clients
- Manage RFI and RFQ processes, track submissions, and review incoming estimates
- Use Excel and other estimating software to develop cost sheets and pricing models
- Evaluate contracts for scope accuracy and close post-bid opportunities effectively
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction estimating
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a client-focused attitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
- Experience with virtual bid rooms and ERP software (Innergy ERP a plus)
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction documents
- Knowledge of bid processes and contract evaluation
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license for site visits
