Immediate opening for a Construction Estimator to assist in the preparation of budgets for multifamily, commercial, and residential construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Estimation/take off of square footage for multifamily developments for a specialty concrete subcontractor (Gyp-Crete and exterior pump mix).
• Download digital plans and perform take off of square footage of items within our scope.
• Enter into estimating software and provide bid proposal.
• Communicate via email and phone with contractors, project managers, estimators, and architects to acquire accurate information for takeoffs and bid proposals.
• Multitask and work under critical time restraints to provide bids before deadlines.
• Work with sales staff on the bid process.
• Coordinate material and labor takeoffs in the estimating database.

Requirements

• 2-3+ years of estimating experience.
• College degree a plus.
• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Computer-aided design and blueprint reading.
• Working knowledge of Planswift a plus.
• Ability to work independently and multitask in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.
