• Salary: $100,000 - $130,000 per year

A bit about us: We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Construction Estimator to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers an opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects in the construction industry. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects across various sectors including Hospital, Higher Education, School, Commercial, Federal or State or Government Construction, Retail Construction, and Multifamily Construction. This role is ideal for a candidate who is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates: for construction projects across various sectors including hospital, higher education, school, commercial, federal or state or government construction, retail construction, and multifamily construction.
• Review architectural plans: and prepare quantity needs.
• Evaluate cost-effectiveness: of projects and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors: to provide cost data regarding project feasibility.
• Conduct risk analysis: and provide strategies to overcome potential financial risks.
• Prepare and present cost reports and findings: to senior management.
• Stay updated: with the latest industry trends and advancements in construction estimation techniques.
• Negotiate and maintain relationships: with suppliers and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree: in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience: as a Construction Estimator or in a similar role.
• Proven experience: in estimating construction costs for various sectors including hospital, higher education, school, commercial, federal or state or government construction, retail construction, and multifamily construction.
• Strong knowledge: of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Proficiency in computer software: for cost estimation.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and blueprints.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or other relevant certification: would be considered an advantage.
