About the Role
As a Construction Estimator, your expertise will be the cornerstone of how projects move from vision to reality. You will play a critical role in shaping project costs with precision and foresight, directly influencing client success and satisfaction.
- Develop and deliver detailed cost estimates within 30 days of project initiation, ensuring alignment with project requirements and client expectations.
- Lead bi-weekly review meetings with cross-functional teams to refine project estimates and incorporate up-to-date cost information.
- Reduce estimation inaccuracies by 15% through ongoing market research and historical data analysis over the first six months.
- Collaborate with the project management team to maintain project costs within 5% of initial estimates throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare comprehensive bid packages, ensuring completion two weeks ahead of submission deadlines for all major projects.
Work Environment
You will report directly to the Head of Project Management, working alongside a skilled team of project managers and engineers. Access to industry-leading estimation software will support your analyses. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in construction estimation within commercial sectors.
- Proven track record in developing accurate estimates that fall within 5% of actual project costs.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations in North Carolina.
- Proficiency in estimation software such as ProEst, PlanSwift, etc. Experience with Autodesk or Procore is a plus.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
