Construction Engineer Technician

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conducts inspections, scheduling, and oversight for the construction of heavy highway structural projects.
• Solves technical problems and guides solutions through the delivery process.
• Maintains quality, performance, and specifications for assigned construction activities.
• Performs daily field inspections and maintains inspection records.
• Aids in the completion of reports.
• Keeps the Project Manager informed of workload, progress, and daily activities.
• Proactively interacts with contractors to track crew activities and equipment on the project.
• Actively observes and demonstrates appropriate safety practices.
• Performs field work as required, which may include nights and weekends.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

This position offers the chance to work with industry leaders on bridge inspection for UDOT while using innovative technology. This role is an integral part of the construction management team and will work under the guidance of the Project Leader. Relocation is available.
