Construction Engineer Project Manager

About the role

The Construction Engineer Project Manager plays a critical role in overseeing all phases of engineering and construction projects—from planning and design through execution and completion. This position blends strong technical expertise with proven project management skills to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Manage the planning, design, and execution of construction and engineering projects.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure all project requirements are met.
• Develop project schedules, budgets, and resource plans; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
• Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
• Oversee site activities to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Identify and mitigate potential risks, delays, and cost overruns.
• Prepare project documentation, progress reports, and status updates for stakeholders.
• Lead project meetings and maintain strong communication among internal and external teams.
• Manage change orders, subcontractor contracts, and procurement of materials and equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (P.E. license preferred).
• 5+ years of experience in construction or engineering project management.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Bluebeam).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
