Construction Engineer I

About the role

The Construction Engineer I is responsible for designing and overseeing construction projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop construction plans and blueprints
• Oversee construction sites to ensure adherence to safety protocols and project specifications
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients to resolve design issues and improve project outcomes
• Prepare and present project progress reports to stakeholders
• Manage budgets and resources to meet project timelines and cost targets

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in construction engineering
• Knowledge of building codes and local regulations
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for sustainable and innovative construction practices

Skills

• Proficient in AutoCAD or similar drafting software
• Experience with project management tools such as Primavera or MS Project
• Understanding of environmental impact assessments
