Position Responsibilities and Duties
- Facilitate an open flow of communication between operations and engineering partners.
- To provide more transparency to what is and is not working during operations and potential remediations.
- Be the POC for operations to present engineering concerns, and work with SOLV Engineering, partners, and vendors to understand and communicate reasoning behind design methodology and provide engineered solutions to operation concerns.
- Assist the operation team with engineering related construction RFI’s, internal and external during the construction phase of a project.
- Exhibit urgency in resolving RFI’s, and other operations concerns.
- Know and understand all project specific design requirements (SOLV Energy requirements, client/contract requirements, and permit requirements).
- Develop and maintain good relationships with site teams – Superintendents, Foreman, Project Management, etc.
- Ensure sufficient knowledge of the SOLV EPC Contract to be able to support operations and assist in confirming SOLV is compliant with the EPC Contract.
- Direct the implementation of autonomous pile driving systems to ensure SOLV fully captures material, labor, and schedule savings associated with terrain following racking systems.
- Assist the operation team with more engineering intensive clients (and client’s engineer/independent engineer).
- Guiding project teams through design comments with consultants.
- Aid the warranty team with confirmation of responsibility as it relates to manufacturer failures, compromised design, and installation errors.
- Develop and lead project specific training for project team personnel (Project Management and Field Teams) in the use of GPS enabled pile drivers and associated software and internal proprietary tools where applicable.
- Support SOLV Energy’s development of continuous construction monitoring using drone technology.
Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Studies, Construction Management, or related field of study
- 2-5 years of construction-related experience, or equivalent
- Excellent written communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Aptitude for problem solving, and strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Able to work effectively both independently and within a team environment
- Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel
- Exposure in CAD/GIS and aptitude for proficiency in these and other engineering software
- Ability to read and understand project drawings, and specifications
- Field experience preferred
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Occasional exposure to weather, vibration, dust and fumes, electric shock, radiation, toxic/caustic chemicals
- Constant ability to see details at close range and at a distance, hear, and talk, and possess depth perception
- Occasional driving, climbing, carrying, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working in high exposed places
- The noise intensity level can be high
- Ability to work in office and field setting and manage daily position responsibilities during site visits
Compensation Range
$35.82 - $44.77 Pay Rate Type: Hourly
