Responsibilities
- Independently manage all aspects of high-value, complex claims
- Proactively communicate with customers and business partners about claims
- Conduct thorough investigations for claims and lawsuits
- Write clear and accurate coverage positions
- Manage and plan litigation, including budgeting and strategies for resolution
- Develop and articulate coverage, liability, and damage assessments to leadership
- Negotiate and finalize agreements with liable parties and insurance carriers
Qualifications
- 5+ years construction defect claim handling experience
- Expertise in complex coverage and liability issues for general contractor, developer, owner, and construction manager claims
- Proficient in affirmative/defensive risk transfer and contractual indemnity tenders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical and critical thinking capabilities
- Ability to present evaluations in a roundtable format
- Demonstrated successful negotiation and conflict resolution skills
- Active Property & Casualty State Insurance Adjuster license
Pay
$107,600 – $161,400 annually
