Construction Defect Attorney

Job Details

• Salary: $125,000 - $225,000 per year

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school
• Must be an active member in good standing with the California State Bar
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction law, litigation, defense, and insurance defense
• Proven experience in civil litigation and civil defense
• Extensive knowledge of general liability, motion practice, deposition, discovery, mediation, arbitration, and trial
• Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to interpret and draft legal documents
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• High level of professionalism and confidentiality

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all aspects of construction defect litigation including discovery, depositions, motion practice, mediation, arbitration, and trial
• Draft, review, and negotiate various legal documents related to construction defect litigation
• Represent clients in court and argue motions, take effective depositions of lay and expert witnesses
• Consult with clients and advise on legal rights, obligations, and risks associated with construction defect litigation
• Develop and implement effective legal strategies to resolve complex construction defect disputes
• Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure the best legal service is provided
• Stay abreast of current trends, rulings, and advancements in construction law and litigation
