Construction Crew Welder II

Essential Functions

• Maintain equipment, and tools an uncluttered and organized manner, performing routine care and maintenance of tools as needed.
• Request equipment and supplies as needed to support smooth operations.
• Install various items for the purpose of completing projects safely and within established time frames.
• Maintain welds and repair metal surfaces on various items using a variety of processes for the purpose of ensuring the availability, functionality, and safety.
• Cookordinate with others in completing projects/work orders safely and efficiently and promptly respond to immediate safety issues and/or critical repairs as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: High School diploma or GED
• Work Experience: 3-5 years' previous experience fabricating in a construction or industrial environment.
• Experience: Previous structural experience and will be skilled in MIG, STIC and Torch cutting.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to pass DOT Physical Heavy Equipment operation a plus.

• Welder Technical Skills Competencies: Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.).
• Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.).

Environment or Physical Working Conditions

• Ability to work under conditions of frequent exposure to dusty conditions and the full range of weather conditions;
• Frequently in, on, and around quarry high walls and pit;
• Extended periods working from elevated positions or in tunnels.
