Construction Crew Member - Landscape

About the role

In this role you will assist in the installation and construction of various landscaping projects, including hardscapes, softscapes, irrigation systems, and other outdoor features. This is a physically demanding job that requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. Crew members directly report to Crew Leaders, Project Supervisor, or Construction Project Managers.

Responsibilities

• Understand and follow safety protocols and procedures.
• Prepare job sites by digging, grading, and leveling.
• Install irrigation systems and drainage solutions.
• Perform planting and sodding installations.
• Install hardscape items such as patios, walkways, and retaining walls.
• Load, unload, and transport materials to and from job sites.
• Operate and maintain tools and small machinery such as skid steers, compactors, and other provided tools and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and equipment.
• Support crew leaders and team members in completing projects on time and to quality standards.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
• Willingness to learn and take direction.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred but not required.
• High school graduate or equivalent desired.
• Previous experience in landscaping, construction, or a related field preferred.
• Familiarity with landscape construction tools and equipment is preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Outdoor work environment in varying weather conditions.
• May require lifting up to 50 lbs and working with tools or machinery.
• Exposure to machinery, dirt, and dust.
• May require occasional overtime, including weekends.
• May require travel to outside locations and overnight stays.

Pay

$18.00 - $20.00 per hour.
