About the role

Dominion Energy is seeking a Construction Contracts Specialists or Senior Construction Contract Specialists to support the Nuclear Projects department across multiple nuclear power stations. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective development and management of nuclear safety related Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) related contracts in a cost-effective and timely manner, and manages complex nuclear generation agreements of materials, equipment and/or services.

Responsibilities

  • Daily administration of executed EPC Agreements, including resolution of billing issues, coordination of letter of credit or retention, interpretation of contract language, validation of contract deliverables to ensure compliance with terms and conditions
  • Serves as primary point of contact to review and negotiate requested contract amendments and change orders to accommodate unanticipated situations and ensure compliance with contract requirements, while minimizing impacts to project cost and schedule
  • Maintains day-to-day contact with Projects personnel for awareness of supplier performance and deviation to contract requirements
  • Coordinates resolution of contractual and technical disagreements between the company and suppliers
  • Assists in audit strategies when billing and contract disputes arise
  • Compiles reports for management that monitors contract status, reports analysis, and overall contract performance
  • Develops and recommends strategies for ascertaining performance criteria with contracts
  • Monitors progress and schedule milestones in contract to ensure provisions are met that lead to on-time payment
  • Supports identification and implementation of cost improvements for contracted materials and services
  • Assists in compiling information for project planning, cost controls and forecasting
  • Supports training of Projects employees on contract specifics
  • Supports activities related to Rider Filing requirements
  • With general direction, works with supply chain to develop appropriate supply chain strategies for procurement and materials management for Projects organization
  • Assists with the review of solicitation documents and supports evaluation of proposals consistent with established bid process
  • Serves as part of the project team that negotiates EPC agreements with large construction suppliers
  • Supports activities related to identification, solicitation, evaluation and award of bids to suppliers
  • Negotiates and maintains Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA's)

Qualifications

Construction Contracts Specialist: 3 or more years contract life-cycle management, supply chain management and/or business management.

Senior Construction Contracts Specialist: 5 or more years contract life-cycle management, supply chain management and/or business management.

Prior work experience in the nuclear industry is preferred.

Pay

Expected hiring base salary range: $90,900 - $118,100. The actual salary offered may vary based on factors such as the selected candidate's qualifications, skills, experience, and work location.

Schedule

Office work environment 76-100%; travel up to 25%.
