Construction and Infrastructure Transactions Associate (Minneapolis)
About the role
Faegre Drinker is seeking an associate with three to six years of construction-related transactional experience to join its nationally recognized Construction and Infrastructure Transactions practice.
Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate sophisticated contracts, including EPC agreements, design-build documents, alternative delivery contracts, supply and purchase agreements, service and engineering agreements, and consulting agreements, for large-scale energy, transportation, and industrial infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrate proficiency independently drafting and negotiating these contract types, with hands-on experience advising on risk allocation, indemnification, insurance, bonding, and other critical commercial terms.
- Show excellent legal writing skills, strong academic credentials, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with clients and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Contribute to complex, high-stakes infrastructure transactions within a high-responsibility role within a collaborative, fast-paced practice handling matters of national significance for institutional clients.

Requirements
- Three to six years of construction-related transactional experience.

- Hands-on experience advising on risk allocation, indemnification, insurance, bonding, and other critical commercial terms.
- Excellent legal writing skills, strong academic credentials, meticulous attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
Qualifications
- JD degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong academic credentials.

Pay
The anticipated initial annual salary range for someone who is hired into this position is $225,000 – $280,000. Actual initial salary may be above or below the above-identified range and will be based on the relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, including the location of where the position is filled and consistent with applicable law.
Schedule
Work from a Faegre Drinker office three days per week, striking a balance between in-person collaboration, relationship-building, and exceptional client service, while also supporting individual flexibility and work-life balance.
