Construction Aide

Essential Job Functions

• Affix markers, survey pins, and boundary markers using various hand tools.
• Obtain material samples and perform basic tests of materials.
• Assist in inspecting construction activities to ensure they meet department standards.
• Keep the supervisor informed of daily contractor activities and report on unusual conditions.
• Document contractors' work using SiteManager or other electronic inspection software.
• Drive Department vehicles to various locations within the District as needed.

Secondary Job Functions

• Perform administrative support functions in the office as needed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to use various types of hand tools.
• Ability to traverse rugged terrain, climb up and down hills and grades, and enter and exit vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

Working Conditions

• Frequent travel to various locations within the District.
• Performance of assigned duties in all types of weather and other work conditions.
