About The Program Join us for a 12-week, hands-on internship experience where you’ll gain real-world exposure to the construction industry while contributing to meaningful projects with Boyd Jones Construction. Our interns are not here to “just observe." They collaborate with experienced professionals, sharpen their skills, and leave with tangible accomplishments to add to their resume. What You’ll Gain Practical experience applying classroom knowledge to real-world construction projectsMentorship from accounting professionals Networking in the construction industryCompetitive hourly wage Key Responsibilities As an Accounting Intern, your assignments may include: Assisting with accounts payable processing, including coding and entering subcontractor and vendor invoicesSupporting project cost tracking, job cost reporting, and budget reconciliationHelping with payroll data entry, timekeeping verification, and related documentationAssisting in preparing monthly financial reports and supporting the month-end close processMaintaining accurate and organized financial records, contracts, and compliance documentationSupporting the accounting team with audit preparation, lien waivers, and general ledger entries What You’ll Bring Current enrollment in an accredited program in accounting or a related fieldValid driver’s license and reliable transportation Strong analytical, math, and problem-solving skillsClear written and verbal communication abilitiesSelf-motivated and eager to learnProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Our People At Boyd Jones, our people are our most valuable asset.
