Responsibilities

• Provide constant observation for patients who require an increased level of monitoring, ensuring safety and well‑being
• Perform assigned patient care tasks in addition to observation duties

Pay

• Hourly compensation range: $27.08 – $27.89
• Evening shift differential: $1.10 per hour
• Night shift differential: $1.35 per hour

• Primarily part‑time Evening shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM) and Night shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) positions available

Qualifications

• Education: Completion of a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or equivalent preparation/experience required; High School Graduate or GED equivalent preferred; Two‑year college degree related to psychology preferred
• Experience: One year of prior acute care experience preferred, or CNA certification, or completion of first clinical course in an RN/LPN program
• Certification/Registration: Current BLS certification required; Completion of Organization’s Crisis Training (CPI) upon hire and annually thereafter; Demonstrated competency with age‑specific groups in assigned unit/department

• Prolonged extensive or considerable standing, walking, and sitting
• Safe patient handling protocols
• Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
• Ability to pass pre‑hire physical assessment

Working Conditions

Environmental Demands & Exposure to Hazards

• Works in a clean, well‑lighted, heated or ventilated facility; no routine exposure to hazards
• May sit in isolation rooms (must wear full PPE per Infection Control Standards)
• May provide one‑to‑one or one‑to‑two monitoring in the same room (two‑to‑one requires review by Nursing Unit Director or Administrative Director of Nursing)
• Contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances; may be exposed to unpleasant patient elements

Physical Demands

• Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion
• Visual and aural acuity; finger and hand dexterity to operate computer and office equipment
• Ability to withstand long periods of sitting, standing, and/or constant walking
• Ability to lift 10 lbs
